Is the upcoming movie The Flash the last time fans will see Ben Afflecks Batman?
The topic ofBen AfflecksBatmanhas always been a lively one.
Despite that, somehow,Warner Bros. managed to get him back for the upcoming movie,The Flash.
Hes even reportedly filmed further scenes and teases for more of his Caped Crusader.
IsThe FlashAfflecks last hurrah, or might fans see more of him?
Lets take a look at arguments for his return, and others against.
Sadly, past that, theres no real information on who might be taking on the mantle next.
ActorJason Momoacan be seen side-by-sidewith the star on set for reshootsin some social media posts on Instagram.
However, even that might not happen

The creatives had reportedlychanged stuff around, so he is no longer necessary to the plot.
Gunnhimselfhas even mentioned utilizing this plot machine.

Against: Moving Past the DCEU Baggage
At the end of the day.
Gunn might simply want tomove past as much of the DCEUs baggage as he can.
Hes already chosen not to bring backHenry Cavills Supermanor focus onDwayne Johnsons Black Adam.
This would make using Afflecks hero seem very unlikely.
Though, it still would not be entirely impossible.
However, thats not to say hes done with the DCU entirely.
In fact, according toGunn, the actor wants to direct a project for DC Studios.
That project went on to reshape itself intoMatt Reeves recent adventure to Gotham City.
This would likely include any Affleck scenes inAquaman, thus explaining his absence in recent test screenings.
Honestly, if WB could, theyd probably wipe out the Batmen inThe Flash.
Unfortunately for them, their roles in that outing are far too pivotal to just remove.
Heralding a brand new Bruce Wayne is the right choice for the new DCU.
The Flashwill arrive in theaters on June 16.
