Deleted scenes from Wicked featuring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo as Glinda and Elphaba have surfaced online.

Fans have long been waiting for the Broadway musical to make its way to the screen.

WhenWickedfinally arrived in cinemas in late 2024, it did not disappoint, even spurring an Oscar campaign.

Elphaba Makes Glinda a Promise

One ofWicked’sdeleted scenes is between Elphaba and Glinda in their dormitory.

“If you needed someone, you could’ve picked me,“she tells her.

Elphaba then promises Glinda,“I won’t leave you behind again.”

Another deleted scene shows Elphaba and Glinda exploring the delights of the Emerald City.

As the scene did not make it into the final film some of the visual effects remain unfinished.

The scene is a popular moment from the Broadway musical in which Glinda teaches Elphaba her iconic hair toss.

As is true to her character, Elphaba doesn’t take to the new moves easily.
