The Squid Game world is expanding with an English-language edition from David Fincher.

Netflix already has plans to expand its successful Korean-language thrillerSquid Gamewith an American spin-off fromThe KillerandSe7endirector David Fincher.

This means Fincher has been at work on theSquid Gamespin-off for over two years at this point.

However, The Playlist did share in its report that the series is being written by Dennis Kelly.

Kelly is also known for writing the bookMatilda: The Musicaland was a writer onThe Third Day, SpooksandPulling.

This is largely because Netflix has dodged saying anything about the AmericanSquid Gameseries.

Sarandos may be denying news of the series until there is something tangible to announce about it.

This won’t be clear until Netflix chooses to provide more details.
