Who should Marvel Studios pit against the Fantastic Four in its upcoming reboot?
When Marvels first family gets on screen again, itll be the fourth live-action iteration of the team.
However, this time around, itll be different - they have an entire cinematic universe to interact with.
The big question is - who will get the honor?
Who Will be the MCU’s Fantastic Four Villain?
Despite that, he should not be the focus of this new rebootat least not yet.
An even smarter possibility would be if the character was given his ownSpecial Presentation.
1.)
Mole Man
Yes, this is real - the Mole Man is on this list.
Well, perhaps Marvel Studios wants to start on a much smaller scale than expected.
Mole Man, also known as Harvey Elder, is the perfect villain to do that.
The short and stout man controls an army of underground monsters and even has an entire subterranean kingdom.
To him, everything below the surface (sans water, whichNamorlays claim to) is his to rule.
2.)
In reality, Whitman would work better as a smaller side villain in a larger plot.
Hed also be a good minor character to grow over time throughout several minor appearances across projects.
3.)
This place is a parallel reality that the Fantastic Four is consistently crossing paths with in their storylines.
bugs and a hive-mind, not robots) under his control.
4.)
This results in a Skrull named Klrt, who becomes endowed with all the powers of Marvels first family.
However, in this case, theres plenty that could be done to get over the minor speed bump.
Ever sinceCaptain Marvel, Skrulls have been on the brink of a bigger storyline in the MCU.
This would also be the perfect time to lay the groundwork for Klrts introduction.
5 & 6.)
He could control and affect all forms of energy and matter and manipulate reality at his whim.
To put it simply, he’s basically unbeatable.
To say The Beyonder is powerful is an understatement.
Needless to say, The Beyonder, and his race, are fairly convoluted and complex.
Feel free tocheck out this article for a more comprehensive explanationof just who The Beyonder is.
They might be too big for a debutFantastic Fourfilm.
7.)
Then theres Immortus, a future Variant of Kang who is at the end of his own timeline.
8 & 9.)
Hopefully, its not the awful cosmic cloud fromRise of the Silver Surferthat comes to mind.
This means that sinceSilver Surferwas already used, the MCU might opt for starting out with a different herald.
Hes had plenty before; Firelord, Air-Walker, Terrax, Morg, and more.
Exploring Galactus in the MCU could also lead tosome interesting and completely original connectionsto Marvel StudiosEternalsand those characters.
Who Will be the Lucky Winner?
So, with that in mind, someone like Galactus seems like a strong contender.
Add on his ties to the Silver Surfer, and its hard to go any other direction.
Fantastic Fourlands in theaters on February 14, 2025.
