Rumors have it that Constantine 2 was canceled, despite being announced late last year.
Since then, there’s been no further word on the project.
However, the future of theDCUis bright.
Yet, it seems that Constantine may not be a part of DC Studios' new slate of projects.
The End of Reeves' Constantine… Again?
Update:Entertainment Weeklyreached out to Warner Bros. regarding the status ofConstantine 2.
A representative for the studio stated that the Keanu Reeves-led sequel has not been canceled.
In response to a now-deletedtweet, Walsh bluntly stated that"Constantine 2 is not happening.
So, if thats true, then why would WB have ordered it in the first place?
This move would come right on the heels ofthree other projects meeting their demises.
Most recently, this includedDoom Patrol,Titans, andPennyworth.
Before that, there was the incident involvingBatgirland its controversial cancelation.
I’d be like, ‘Can I just?’
[and] they’d be like, ‘No, no!’
… “So it’s exciting.
But I’m looking forward to it, and hopefully it can happen.”
What’s the Future of DC’s Constantine?
The next DC Comic movie to land in theaters will be Zachary Levi’sShazam!

Hopefully, Billy Batson can be given the future that was snatched away from Constantine.
