Invincible co-showrunner and producer Simon Racioppa discussed the evolution of Amber from Season 1 to Season 2.
WhenInvincible’s Season 1 was released, fans criticized changes made to Amber from the source comics.
I mean, in Season 1, she was dating Mark for the first time.
There was this whole hidden world that he was not telling her about.
Mark puts all the cards on the table.
But yeah, that’s just that’s the way the story goes.
And that’s the way the character goes.
[It] wasn’t done that way for any any specific fan reason."
Invincible, though, does not seem to be doing this.
Amber’s relative personality changes in the new season reflect this method.
She grew and learned as a character in Season 1 alongside Mark.
Both did right and wrong in their first go at a relationship.
The first two episodes ofInvincibleSeason 2 as well as all of Season 1 are streaming onAmazon Prime Video.
Gillian Blum has been a writer at The Direct since 2022, reporting primarily from New York City.
