Why is Kang the Conqueror appearing in Ant-Man 3?
What’s the big deal about Kang at all?
The answers could involve Young Avengers, the invention of time travel, Reed Richards, and more!
News has broken thatLovecraft County’s Jonathan Majors has been cast for a leading role inAnt-Man 3.
It’s being reported that Majors"is likely to play the super-villain Kang the Conqueror.
Before declaring himself Kang, he was born in the 31st century on an alternate version of Earth.
There, he was a scholar who discovered time-travel technology originating from Victor von Doom.
The original proposer of time travel in the MCU is Scott Lang.
Pym Particles are the key.
It had beenpreviously rumoredthat Marvel Studios had been casting an actor to play a myserious “Benefactor” character.
It’s very possible that this could be Kang himself.
When Kang eventually became a legendary figure in his time, he was actually called the Benefactor.
In the end, Kang prevents Iron Lad from changing his fate and the timeline is restored.
In fact, many of these characters are already rumored to appear beforeAnt-Man 3even begins production.
“so you can remain safely on Earth.”
The blue that we see is just a skin tight futuristic mask that forms over his face.
The same is possible for Doctor Doom’s casting as well.
Messing with time has actually happened in two movies so far in the MCU,Doctor StrangeandAvengers: Endgame.
To paraphrase both characters: When messing with time, the bill always comes due with time messing back.
