Harrison Ford explained why he’s such a fan of the Indy franchise’s conclusion.
Director James MangoldsIndiana Jones and the Dial of Destinyends in quite a touching manner.
Afterthe death of their son, Indy and Marion couldnt find a way to keep their marriage together.
Most of his problems have been solved, dealt with.
Hes back to the form that we like to see him in, I think.
And I think its a wonderful last scene…
I really like it.
Many thought thatIndiana Jones 5would ultimately kill off the intrepid archaeologist, but James Mangold had other plans.
And that to me was what was so moving about that ending.
So you could see the finality of that.
The fan-favorite adventurer has delighted countless fans with his no-nonsense, Nazi-punching, idol-grabbing style.
Hes located several high-profile historical artifacts, usually putting his life on the line to do so.
This means no comeback, and perhaps more importantly, no reboot.
Thats also not to mention that one Indy spin-off showhas already been kiboshed by Disney+.
Still,Dial of Destinyacts as a fitting final act for the venerable treasure hunter.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destinyis in theaters now.
