The ‘American’ part seems to make sense, but what does ‘Primeval’ even mean?
American Primeval’s title holds a whole lot of deeper meaning for fans who go looking.
What Does American Primeval’s Title Actually Mean?
‘Primeval’ has various definitions, often used to describe a time of the first age or ancient times.
But that might be a bit of a stretch.
America is a lot older than the events of the Utah War.
The word can also though be used to describe an emotion or desire to be strongly instinctive.
This could potentially tie into the strong themes of humanity’s instinctual capability for violence present in the show.
Others, however, have speculated that the title does not hold any deeper meaning at all.
While it may sound silly, sometimes that is the case.
Sometimes, the punchiest title wins at the end of the day.
